Reflections
- The book generally asks questions but doesn’t really go into much depth
- The chapter is interesting because it highlights the fact that violence or fights in games might be related to things like family dynamics, desire, fantasy and fetish – things that are more commonly discussed in psychoanalytic therapy
- It would be interesting to try and find more research on this kind of thing, or even ask gamers what they think about these kinds of ideas in relation to their feelings about why they are playing games.
