
This is about the development of chatbots that mimic deceased relatives. I think that overall these came across as bad things that seem to distance us (rather than bring us closer) to what it means to be human.

It did not paint these developers in a good light. The final encounter (in S.Korea) left us with the question about our potential squemishness about trying to ‘recreate’ the dead. He reminds us that what looks like the dead person, is not real. This is something that is hard for some people in the documentary to believe and I think this is where the potential danger comes in.
